Born in Italy, Pierluca studied at the European Institute of Design in Milan and moved to Los Angeles in1986.

He started to work with Mark Romanek as a production designer and Herb Ritts.
His close collaboration with Herb gained him MTV awards for the best art direction and then started directing.

He first made music videos for artists such as Geri Halliwell, John Mellecamp, and many more.

Then he moved to direct commercials for New York Times, Chrysler and Cadillac.
L’Oreal, Pantenne, Christian Lacroix, Apple, Yves Rocher… are some of his latest beauty accounts.

His work lately includes celebrities such as Penelope Cruz, Diane Keaton, Natalie Portman and Andi Mc Dowell.

Pierluca lives in the US.
